Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday called the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) the ‘Telangana Corruption, Collection, Commission Congress’ and said he was collecting evidence against corruption by Congress ministers in the State.
Speaking after Karimnagar Corporation’s 10th Division corporator Saugani Komaraiah, an independent, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of BJP State president Ramachander Rao, Sanjay Kumar said some IAS officials were helping the ministers in their alleged corruption.
“We have it all. From whom you have taken commissions. With regard to many ministers, we also have audio records,” he said, adding that the BJP would take up agitations against ministers and protest at their offices, homes and in their constituencies.
Attacking the Congress, he alleged that the State government had trifurcated the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to please the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.
“People of Hyderabad are angry that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has handed over Hyderabad to AIMIM as if it is his ancestral property. Public opinion was not taken. Views of local MPs and MLAs were not obtained. No all-party meeting was held. It was unilateral. Nothing is more shameless than trifurcating as per the orders of Darussalam,” he said, pointing out that the Chief Minister had so far not stated the reason for trifurcating the GHMC into Cyberabad, Greater Hyderabad and Malkajgiri municipal corporations.
With the trifurcation, the Revanth Reddy government has conspired to divide votes and the Hindu community, fearing that the people of Hyderabad were becoming a vote bank to make the BJP win the upcoming civic body elections in the city.
The corporations of Mumbai and Chennai have not been divided despite their huge populations and budgets, he said. The Congress government is trying to appease a community and has ‘become a pawn in the hands of a party’ for the sake of power, he alleged.
