HKM celebrates Radhashtami festival
The Hare Krishna Movement (HKM) Hyderabad celebrated Radhashtami with grand devotion at the Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills. Various traditional Sevas and Aartis were performed throughout the day.

Hyderabad: Hare Krishna Movement (HKM) Hyderabad celebrated Radhashtami festival, which marks the appearance of Krishna’s consort Radha Rani, at Hare Krishna Golden Temple, Banjara Hills, on Sunday.
Devotees thronged the temple since early hours for darshan of Sri Radha Govinda deities, who were adorned in nava-vasthras and jewellery. In the evening, ‘108 Kalasha Sri Radha Govinda Abhishekam’ was performed amidst the recitation of Vedic mantras and Harinama Sankirtana. A sumptuous Chappan Bhog (56 varieties of food items) was another highlight of the event, followed by a Raja Bhoga Arathi.
Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhu, president, Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad, emphasised the significance of Radhashtami and explained that Srimati Radharani is considered the Mother of the entire Universe, and devotees pray to Her on this auspicious day to bestow them with Krishna-Bhakti.
Several Sevas, including Shodashopacharams, Shringara Arathi, Raja Bhog Arati, Sandhya Arati, Maha Abhishekam, Jhulan (Unjala) Seva, Maha Pallaki Seva, Shayana Arati, Ekanta Seva, were also performed.
