Hyderabad: On the occasion of its upcoming Foundation Day on Monday, February 9, the Hyderabad-based Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, will launch three new ocean information services, including JellyAIIP, Samudra 2.0 mobile application and SIVAS.

JellyAIIP (Jellyfish Aggregation Information Interactive Portal) is a national web-based platform for reporting and visualising jellyfish aggregation, swarming, and stranding events along the Indian coast, with geospatial mapping, hotspot analysis, and multilingual first-aid guidance.
The SAMUDRA 2.0 mobile app is an upgraded multilingual advisory platform delivering ocean information and early warnings to fishermen and maritime users, with expanded services including PFZ, TUNA advisories, and Small Vessel alerts, supported by improved map-based features.
SIVAS (Swell-Surge Inundation Vulnerability Advisory System) is a coastal inundation early warning service designed to provide advance alerts on swell-surge flooding events, currently operational for the Kerala coast, with multilingual forecast bulletins.
During the programme, MoUs will be signed between INCOIS and SAC, ICCS, and ALEAP to strengthen collaboration in research, data applications, technology development, and capacity building in ocean and climate services.
