Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Friday said Telangana should take pride in NITI Aayog’s latest report, which termed the TS-iPASS industrial policy as the best in the country. He said the recognition from a central institution validated former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership in transforming Telangana into an industrial benchmark within a decade.
He said TS-iPASS attracted investments worth Rs 2.6 lakh crore in the MSME sector along with major industries, generating employment for over 25 lakh youth. The policy’s single-window system, which removed procedural hurdles and ensured clearances within 15 to 30 days, created a corruption-free environment and boosted investor confidence, he added.
Taking to X, Rama Rao said the success of TS-iPASS, along with flagship initiatives such as Rythu Bandhu, Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya and T-Hub, showed why the Telangana model was being recognised at the national level. He said NITI Aayog’s endorsement should serve as a reminder to those trying to erase Chandrashekhar Rao’s legacy that the State’s achievements over the past decade continue to command respect across the country.
