Mancherial: Family members of BRS councillor Bhumanna Goud in Kyathanpalli have come out alleging that Labour Minister G Vivek was threatening and terrorising him using officials of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Speaking to pressmen, Bomma Vijaya, the wife of 11th ward councillor Bhumanna Goud from the municipality, accused Vivek of threatening and terrorising them by sending Singareni officials to retrieve an open plot located behind their house. She alleged that Vivek was trying to intimidate them to join the Congress using local leaders who called her offering bribes.
Vijaya lamented that the SCCL officials tried to take away material belonging to their tent house dumped in the plot, when her husband was away. She said the officials had also ordered her to vacate the plot and that the officials intentionally reached the spot with directions from Vivek.
She also alleged that they were protecting the land by keeping the material and stationing cattle and utilising it for farm needs for over 30 years. She opined that the plot would have been occupied had they not placed the material. She, however, said that they were ready to give away the plot to the SCCL if needed. The officials put up a signboard that said the plot belonged to SCCL and action would be taken against trespassers.
On receiving information, former minister Koppula Eshwar consoled Vijaya over the phone and assured all support to the family members of Bhumanna Goud. He told her that the BRS would stand with them in the challenging times.
