Microsoft launches AI literacy drive for govt school teachers in Hyderabad
Microsoft has rolled out a new initiative under its Innovative Educator programme to train government school teachers in Hyderabad. The programme, supported by De Pedagogics and United Way of Hyderabad, aims to equip educators with foundational digital literacy and advanced AI skills, including the use of Copilot.

Hyderabad: Microsoft has initiated a programme titled ‘Empowering Educators with Foundational Digital Literacy & AI Skills using Copilot’ under the Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) programme for government school teachers.
The initiative will be driven by the Microsoft Data Center Community around Hyderabad. As part of the programme, the government school teachers are taught from the basics of computers to advanced skills of AI including Copilot, under Microsoft Educator Academy and AI for Educator model.
The programme is being implemented by training partners De Pedagogics and NGO partners United Way of Hyderabad. Under the initiative, the educators will explore beyond traditional practices of using the Microsoft productivity tools.
The educators were introduced to Microsoft Copilot Chat, using their Outlook ids and exploring use of AI for teaching learning purposes, said a press release.
