Hyderabad: Cautioning that forces inimical to Telangana were uniting and hatching conspiracies, the BRS working president KT Rama Rao has alleged that some people including the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy were criticising the BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao only due to an identity crisis.
The Chief Minister keeps hurling abuses at the BRS president only to grab media attention. Despite all these attempts, he is failing to get recognition from different sections of society, he said.
“From programme anchors to film actors, many are still not recognising Revanth Reddy as the Chief Minister. This is leaving him furious,” Rama Rao said.
He was speaking after welcoming the All India Forward Bloc party leader Pillutla Raghu from Huzurnagar constituency into the BRS party here on Sunday.
During his elaborate speech, the BRS working president came down heavily on the Chief Minister accusing him of trying to cover up his failures. The Chief Minister had admitted that the Congress government had borrowed nearly Rs. 3.70 lakh crore in the last two-and-a-half years. But, save for carrying money bags to New Delhi, what has he done for Telangana, he asked.
“Before 2023 elections, Revanth Reddy was “Dana Veera Sura Karna” but after elections he became “Kumbhakarna”, Rama Rao slammed.
A city based aerospace company Skyroot was supported and developed by the BRS government. Interestingly, the Congress government was claiming credit for the good work done by the BRS government, he said.
“Revanth Reddy asks whether a child will be born within three months after a marriage. But, even after 30 months, if children are not born, then what should be said,” Rama Rao questioned.
Even after two-and-a-half years, the Congress government has nothing significant to claim in terms of development in the State. The six guarantees, 420 promises and 13 declarations have been kept in cold storage, the BRS working president charged.
He admitted that the BRS had lost in Nalgonda due to some minor mistakes. But, now despite a senior and experienced leader like N Uttam Kumar Reddy, the district yearns for development. What has the Congress done to the district prior to the 2014 elections, he asked.
During Congress rule the River Musi turned into a polluted river, people were troubled with fluorosis and Ram Reddy, a farmer, had to dig up 56 borewells. This was the state of affairs during the Congress rule. In contrast, under the BRS government, Yadadri temple was reconstructed with Rs. 1,800 crore, ultra mega power project was established with Rs. 35,000 crore, medical colleges were set up and fluorosis issue was addressed with Mission Bhagiratha, he pointed out.
The BRS working president stressed that anti-Telangana forces were uniting and hatching conspiracies against Telangana. “Irrespective of the conspiracies against Telangana, people will elect BRS supremo Chandrashekhar Rao as the Chief Minister with thumping majority,” Ramao Rao asserted.
He backed his assertions by stating that the BRS strength had increased considerably in the Panchayat elections, compared to the 2023 elections.
