Niranjan Reddy blasts at ‘dadagiri’ of Centre
Central government gives funds to States from the taxes collected by them, and it is not money coming from the pockets of BJP leaders, said the Agriculture Minister

Nirmal: Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy on Saturday took strong exception to BJP leaders’ criticising the State government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. “Can the BJP implement any of the various welfare schemes introduced by the TRS government in BJP-ruled States?” he asked.
Stating that the saffron party was indulging in political attacks and threatening States, the Minister said: “Is this democracy or dadagiri? The Central government gives funds to States from the taxes collected by them, and it is not money coming from the pockets of BJP leaders.”
“Telangana is developing at a rapid space, and if the BJP is allowed, the State will be ruined and it will slip into a crisis,” the Minister said adding that villages in the State developed financially because of the welfare measures taken up by the Chief Minister to benefit farmers. Niranjan Reddy was speaking after inaugurating Rythu Vedika at Chityal village in Nirmal Rural mandal along with Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy.
“The Chief Minister is supplying water to meet the irrigation needs of more than one crore acres. There are no suicides and the State has now overcome water problems after construction of various irrigation projects,” Niranjan Reddy said, adding that Telangana was progressing in all fields of activity.
The farmers, he said, are bound to suffer huge losses because of the new farm laws brought in by the BJP government at the Centre. “Farmers toil day and night to get good agriculture produce but the new laws will not protect their interests and will lead them to losses,” he said, and asked the Centre to consider the demands of the agitating farmers in New Delhi for the overall benefit of the farming community in the country.
With these new laws, farmers will not have authority over their agriculture produce and they would be force to rely on corporates, Niranjan Reddy said.
Both Niranjan Reddy and Indrakaran Reddy later handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of a farmer who died accidentally at Chityal. They inaugurated another Rythu Vedika at Dilawarpur mandal centre. Telangana State Rythu Bandhu Chairman Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Nirmal Zilla Parishad Chairperson K Vijaya Laxmi, District Collector Musharraf Faruqui Ali and others were present.
