Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police on Thursday launched a police Pre-Recruitment Training (PRT) programme to provide free training to job aspirants, mostly those from the rural areas of the commissionerate.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Stephen Raveendra inaugurated the pre-recruitment coaching camp, in which nearly 2,000 candidates from Shamshabad and other areas participated.
According to a press release, the Finance Department had issued orders sanctioning 15,575 new police constable jobs, which were likely to be notified in a few days. Another 538 Sub-inspector posts were also likely to be notified soon. After the Commissioner instructed officials from all zones across Cyberabad to take up training programmes for unemployed youth, an enrolment drive was launched and 2,000 candidates got enrolled. Of these, 1,500 were from Shamshabad Zone alone.
Raveendra, speaking at the launch, said candidates should study the previous question papers and analyze them to understand the pattern of the exam. Urging parents not to pressurise their wards but to support them, he said the police would take all necessary measures to organize the training from preliminary exams, conducting tests, arranging physical training in the second phase and also final exams in the third phase.
“The candidates will be divided into small groups and monitored by experienced police officers to assist and guide them,” Raveendra said.
Shamshabad DCP R Jagadishwar Reddy said the government was providing all facilities to the department and uplifting the morale of the personnel. The candidates would also be a connecting link between the community and police in the anti-drug abuse programmes, he said.
The training programme will be organized by R Srinivas, Inspector of RGIA PS, with support from Bhagya Kiran Institute of coaching.
