Students of Pallavi International pledge to uphold constitutional values

Students of Pallavi International School, Gandipet celebrated Constitution Day also known as Samvidhan Divas on November 26. Students from classes VI to IX participated in the virtual session where students spoke on the importance of the Constitution.
The event was hosted by Chaitra and E. Harini Sri Reddy. The most attractive presentation was the role-play of members of the Constituent Assembly. Children dressed as Dr BR Ambedkar, Sarojini Naidu, Dr Rajendra Prasd, Jawaharlal Nehru and others were a treat to watch.
Students spoke on the various event of the Constitution drafting and the role of various freedom fighters in drafting the same. The Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949 and came into effect on January 16, 1950.
Students presented a Hindi poem and spoke on the essence of the Preamble to the Constitution and the feature of the Constitution. The assembly culminated with the speech of Principal Meetali Archit who urged the students to read the Preamble to the Constitution and strive to protect the constitutional values.
She asked students to log in at MyGov.in website and read the Preamble to the Constitution and pledge to uphold the same. The assembly came to an end with an interesting quiz on the theme, followed by National Anthem.
