Warangal: Chairman of admissions of the NIT Warangal Prof Anand Kishore Kola has urged the students to study engineering education with passion, but not for the sake of getting a certificate of degree which would be of no use in the job market. He was speaking at a seminar on ‘Engineering Challenges in 21st Century’ jointly organised by Department of Physical Sciences, Centre for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship (C-IIRE), Innovation Incubation Council (IIC4.O) and Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) to mark the National Science Day (NSD) at its campus on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion Anand Kishore explained the latest technologies like m-RNA technology, cloud computing, ML, AI, IoT, Networks,design of robotics, assembly lines, Autocad and 3D printing which are in high demand in the present world. Dean R&D Prof P Niranjan Reddy in his presidential statement stated that they were according high priority to core areas such as knowledge, skill, quality,innovation incubation, research and entrepreneurship besides helping the students to have the right attitude, academic ethics, academic and integrity.
Physical Sciences head Dr D Prabhakara Chary said that “Science is our life and Technology is our future”.
“We have six research centres in various departments. Interdisciplinary research gives fruitful results and leads to the latest innovations for the benefit of scholars and to the common man. Hence, our faculties are concentrating on them by utilising advanced equipment with the help of basic science principles,”he added.
