SSC Public Examinations 2026 in Telangana saw exceptional results, with four students scoring 597 out of 600. Mulugu district topped pass percentages, while Hyderabad recorded the lowest. Overall performance across schools remained strong, exceeding the State average of 95.15%.

The Directorate of Government Examinations has made arrangements to release the results at 2 pm. The results can be accessed via the website https://bse.telangana.gov.in/

Commencing this year, the School Education department will be sending a copy of internet marks memo directly to the student's registered WhatsApp mobile number. This facility will be available to students who have earlier downloaded their SSC Public Examinations hall ticket via the MeeSeva Telangana Chatbot - 8096958096

The SSC Public Examinations in Telangana will begin on Saturday with 5,28,239 students appearing across 2,676 centres. Authorities have allowed five minutes of grace time for entry and deployed 144 flying squads to monitor the smooth conduct of exams

The Telangana Education Commission has recommended scrapping separate examinations conducted by the Telangana Open School Society and asking its students to appear for regular SSC and Intermediate exams, raising concerns over the impact on thousands of school and college dropouts.

Telangana SSC 2026 hall tickets are available online from March 5 and via WhatsApp. Over 5.28 lakh students will appear for exams from March 14 to April 16 across 2,676 centres. A 24/7 helpline is available.

The extended SSC Class X exam schedule, with three- to five-day gaps between papers, has drawn objections from teachers who fear students may lose focus. The government has introduced an action plan to ensure students use the break days for revision and practice.

The Telangana School Education department is set to introduce QR codes in SSC hall tickets from March 2026, enabling Class X students to easily locate their examination centres, estimate travel time, and access real-time traffic updates.

The Education department has been unable to move forward with the announcement of the Class X examination schedule, as there is no clarity from the government on the closed holidays for the next year. In fact, the department, a couple of weeks ago, proposed to hold exams either on March 16 or 18. However, a detailed timetable could not be finalised due to uncertainty over holidays for festivals - Ramzan and Sri Rama Navami.

The results, originally scheduled to be released at 1 pm on Wednesday, will now be announced at 2:15 pm today. This delay is due to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who also oversees the Education department, attending an event in Vijayawada. He is expected to arrive in Shamshabad around 1 pm.

As many as 4,96,576 students appeared for the physical science test

A total of 5,09,403 students, including 2,58,895 boys and 2,50,508 girls, registered for the examinations, which will be conducted at 2,650 centres set up across the State

The initiative will enable authorities to easily trace the source of any leaked papers as the both QR code and security numbers are printed on every page of the question paper

The Class X exams will begin at 9.30 am and students will be allowed to enter the centres till 9.35 am only

According to the schedule, pre-final exams will begin with the first language on March 6, followed by second language and third language exams on March 7 and 10 respectively

So far, students are provided main answer sheets comprising four pages and additional answer sheets containing four pages, along with a graph sheet, for writing answers.

This was announced as the DGE received certain representations seeking to declare holiday to camps on the occasion of two festivals i.e., Ugadi on April 9 and Ramzan on April 11.

The move comes as the sixth question in section– II of the question paper comprising of three short answer questions with four marks each, deviated from the question paper blueprint. The add-on two marks are not grace marks and will be awarded only to those who had attempted and not to all students.
