Mangaluru was one among the multiple airports in the country that received similar emails on Tuesday night by the sender who claimed to be a terrorist group named ‘Funing,' they said.

An email came at around 10:23 pm on Wednesday night in which it was claimed that Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Chennai and Ahmedabad airports would be bombed.

"The Indian School in Sadiq Nagar received a bomb threat via email. As a precautionary measure, the school has been vacated.

According to the police the caller has been identified as Panayam Shivanand, who hails from Hyderabad.
