Former Andole MLA Chanti Kranthi Kiran said the police were filing false cases against BRS leaders and cadre in Andole constituency over posts on social media on an issue that was not criminal in nature

The party district president Rega Kantha Rao, former MLA B Hari Priya, former municipal chairperson K Seetha Lakshmi, senior leader Dindigala Rajender and others were taken into preventive custody in the wake of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to the district on Thursday.

The cadres brought portraits of CM Revanth Reddy, burnt them and tore them apart as a mark of protest.

However, the number of votes polled to MP candidate Venkatrami Reddy decreased to 54,000 while the BJP had increased its vote share from 20,000 to 1.03 lakh votes.

He pointed out that no action was initiated against those who initially posted the alleged new logo of TGSRTC, but only against BRS cadre who were targeted for just sharing it and raising questions.

The Minister found fault with the opposition parties for spreading wrong propaganda against the ruling party on various social media platforms.

The celebrations were no less than the victory rallies in several Assembly constituencies.
