The controversy over students being allegedly forced to remove their sacred thread (janeu) during the Common Entrance Test (CET) has spread from Bengaluru to Chikkaballapur, where a fresh incident was reported at Nagarjuna College.

The Telangana Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG ECET) 2026 notification will be issued on February 5, with online applications accepted from February 9 to April 18 without a late fee. The exam is scheduled for May 15.
