According to the media bulletin, the total cases in the state increased to 7,55,72 which includes 46,295 active cases.

The victim was identified as Yesu Babu who died on the spot.

With the new additions, the southern state's tally rose to 7,50,517 cases.

Meanwhile, 31 more patients succumbed to the virus, raising the statewide Covid death toll to 6,159.

Beating East Godavari district, Chittoor logged the highest number of infections at 784 cases, increasing the district's tally to exactly 60,000.

According to the media bulletin by state nodal officer, the total count of cases in the state has risen to 7,34,427 while active cases are 49,513.

Out of the total cases, there are 50,776 active cases in the state, while in the last 24 hours, 6,046 patients have recovered from the infection

The overall positive cases registered in the state so far increased to 7,13,014 after 6,224 were added in the 24 hours ending 9 am on Saturday.
