Disha Ravi, who was arrested for her involvement in sharing a 'toolkit' on social media in connection with the ongoing farmers' protest, has been released from Delhi's Tihar jail.
A Delhi court on Monday sent Ravi to one-day police custody as it said she has to be confronted with other accused in the case -- Nikita Jacob and Shantanu Muluk.
The number of volunteers for security check at every entry and exit gates along with the way from Singhu village to Kundli village has also been increased.
The court asked the police to file an affidavit containing its submission that it has not leaked any material relating to the investigation to the media.
Security has been tightened in both Haryana and Punjab with personnel of the government railway police and the state police forces being deployed, officials said.
The petition also seeks to restrain the media from publishing the content or extract of any alleged private chats, including those on WhatsApp, between her and third parties.
The court in its order noted the applicant (Jacob) is a permanent resident of Mumbai and the FIR is lodged in Delhi, and the relief sought by her now is only temporary.
