Say they will launch stir on the lines of podu farmers from Kondapalli village in Penchikalpet mandal if forest officials do not withdraw their move to reclaim their land
With the relocation of 94 families from Rampur and Maisampet villages from Kaddampeddur mandal in the core of the reserve, the Forest department secured nearly 110 acres of land.
The farmers maintained that they were tilling the lands for 75 years, but the officials of the forest department were grabbing the lands. They alleged that the officials were threatening to book cases against them for cultivating crops in the lands.
Two deer antlers were seized from them. The persons were identified as Pittala Shoban Babu (25), a fruit seller and resident of Medak, and Bonala Naga Chary (40) a gold smith from Warangal.
As per the instructions, the Narayanpet forest officials are making necessary arrangements to capture the leopard. Cage traps would be laid at strategic locations to capture the leopard in a couple of days.
