TGCTA has opposed the inclusion of junior lecturer service for CAS promotions in Telangana government colleges, calling it a violation of UGC norms. The association urged the government to reject the proposal, citing concerns over seniority and constitutional provisions.
For the first time, Telangana’s premier institutions like Nizam College have reported hundreds of vacant seats after DOST 2025 counselling. Over 2.08 lakh seats remain unfilled across the State, prompting TGCHE to announce spot admissions on September 15 and 16.
As per DOST 2025 first phase seat allotment, 89,572 candidates registered for admissions, 65,191 exercised web options and 60,436 allotted out of 3,71,096 seats in 805 colleges
