200 pumps have to be set up temporarily for devotees who cannot go to Godavari for holy dip.

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy,  Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Reddy,  Forest Minister Konda Surekha and Panchayati Raj Minister Dansari Anasuya were present on the occasion.

During his lifetime, Vidyasagar Rao generously donated 40 guntas of his property in Jajireddygudem for the construction of a Kalyana Mandapam and contributed over Rs. one crore. His vision was to hand over the Kalyana Mandapam to the Grama Panchayat for maintenance, allowing the village to use the facility for functions free of charge.

Sources said that it would take at another six months to complete the work as 90 percent of the works had been completed so far

The Minister inspected the ongoing development works at several temples including the Palakurthy in his constituency on Saturday.

According to in-charge of the restoration project, Prof M Panduranga Rao, more than 90 percent of the works had been completed, and fixing of the roof would be done by March 31 next year.
