Established on March 18, 2016, the DCCB Shankarpatnam, a rural branch has achieved the milestone within a short duration of its opening by doing a business of Rs 45 crore deposits and Rs 56 crore loans.

In order to give a fillip to the agricultural activities and rural prosperity, the NABARD and DCCB authorities have launched awareness programmes in the watershed villages about the importance of availing loans.

Till March 31, 2020, the bank had done business of Rs 3,757 crore including Rs 1,832 crore deposits and Rs 1,925 crore loans.

This is the first time in the 55-year history of the NAFSCOB, an apex body of cooperative banks in the country, that a Telugu person has been elected as the chairman for a period of five years.
