Continuing its focus on Mother and Child Health (MCH), the State government in its annual budget 2023-24, has decided to extend the KCR Nutritional Kit to all pregnant women.

Minister says all efforts will be made to broaden the scheme and urged pregnant women to consume supplements.

Around 2.5 lakh kits would be given to 1.25 lakh beneficiaries in two phases, spending Rs.50 crore.

These kits will be launched in nine districts where anaemia deficiency among pregnant women is found to be prevalent on a large scale.

Kothagudem is among the nine districts in Telangana selected for the implementation of the scheme, which is especially meant to address anemia conditions among pregnant women.
