Officials in Rajanna-Sircilla district have been directed to make elaborate arrangements for the Maha Shivaratri jatara at Vemulawada from February 14 to 16. At a coordination meeting chaired by local leaders and officials, instructions were issued to ensure smooth darshan for devotees, complete road repairs, and operate additional bus services.

Temple authorities and the district administration have made extensive arrangements for the jatara, allocating Rs. 2.03 crore, as over four lakh devotees from Telangana and neighboring states, including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh, are expected to visit the shrine for Maha Shivaratri.

A total of 778 buses will be operated to the temple town from different depots of Karimnagar, Adilabad, Warangal and Nizamabad regions from February 25 to 27

Lanes and bylanes of the temple town filled with devotees as scores of pilgrims thronged the ancient shrine to take part in the three days annual fair that started on Thursday.

All arrangements in place with deployment of 2,000 police personnel for the 3-day annual fete.

The Minister asked the officials to distribute 3 lakh face masks to the devotees. He also instructed Police and Fire Department officials to take all precautionary measures to avert any untoward incident.
