Former Minister’s counsel argues that FIR filed without proper evidence and case filed without authority

After the high profile resignations of veterans Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Nagam Janardhan Reddy, supporters of multiple other ticket aspirants went on protest in different parts of the State, with many heading to Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad.

They called on Reddy, who announced his resignation from the Congress on Sunday, at his Gachibowli residence this evening.

Nagam Janardhan Reddy was reportedly expecting a ticket from Nagarkurnool, but the party instead fielded Kuchukulla Rajesh Reddy.

The former Minister had aspired for a ticket to contest from Nagarkurnool constituency but the State leadership allotted the ticket to first-timer K Rajesh Reddy.
