Krishank was arrested on May 1 on charges of forging a circular pertaining to Osmania University hostel on summer vacation and is currently lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison.

He demanded Krishank's immediate release and called for holding Revanth Reddy accountable for posting fake documents.

In a notice to the university community, OU Registrar Prof. P Laxminarayana said the university announced commencement of summer vacation from May 1 to 31.

The Chief Warden had made an announcement that Osmania University hostels and messes would be closed from May 1 to May 31 due to shortage of drinking water and electricity on Monday.

A notice to this effect has been issued by university to all boarders.

“If there is no ground water, the administration has to provide water tankers that will suffice for all hostel inmates, not just one tanker for 1000 students,” she said.
