The Chief Warden had made an announcement that Osmania University hostels and messes would be closed from May 1 to May 31 due to shortage of drinking water and electricity on Monday.

Earlier, BRS working president and former Minister KT Rama Rao also highlighted the increasing power cuts across the State.

A notice to this effect has been issued by university to all boarders.

“If there is no ground water, the administration has to provide water tankers that will suffice for all hostel inmates, not just one tanker for 1000 students,” she said.
