Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Laxman said the Congress had made false promises during the assembly polls to come to power and now was again making false promises to get votes for the Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a party meeting in Adilabad Parliament segment here, Rama Rao said every vote to the Congress would ultimately benefit the BJP.

In April last, Revanth Reddy had alleged that the BRS government allotted 15 acres land to the foundation. He had also assured that after coming to power, the Congress government would put all those involved in the land allotment behind the bars.

He demanded Revanth Reddy to tender unconditional apologies to farmers for his previous electoral promise to implement crop loan waiver on December 9, during the Assembly polls.

Rao had earlier joined the BJP after being denied a ticket by the BRS at the time of the Assembly elections last year. He was expecting a BJP ticket from the Adilabad Parliament segment.

The farmers, in their letters have also demanded the government to announce Rs.25,000 as compensation for each acre of crop that suffered damages due to unseasonal rains or went dry due to water shortage.

He said that he would welcome Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy into BJP if he wishes to join the party.
