Blaming the Congress for the death of 370 people in 1969 and over 1000 during the second phase of the Telangana movement, the senior BJP leader demanded former Congress president Sonia Gandhi to tender an apology for the deaths of the people of Telangana.

The current State emblem, adopted in 2014 and designed by artist Laxman Aelay, showcases two of Telangana’s most significant historical landmarks: the Kakatiya Kala Thoranam and the Charminar.

As part of the State Formation Day celebrations, the Chief Minister will unfurl the national flag at Parade Grounds at 10 am and receive the guard of honour of the police forces, besides releasing the State song on the occasion.

Earlier in the day, accompanied by the party leaders, he visited Charminar and later, speaking to the media, he said that the decision of the government had already triggered controversy and people were strongly opposing it across the State.

Taking to social media platform X, Singh expressed distress, stating, “Once again, I’m receiving death threats from multiple numbers today. This isn’t the first time I’ve been targeted with such threats.

Lamenting that there were no promotions and transfers of teachers since the last nine and six years respectively, the leaders said this was affecting teachers and students.

In an informal interaction with the media during his visit to Delhi, Revanth Reddy said the State Cabinet tasked poet Andesri with writing the anthem and he was the one who recommended Keeravani to compose the music.

Stating that the Chief Minister's stance is contradictory and foolish, he questioned the former's hatred towards the Kakatiya Thoranam and Charminar.

Written by poet and lyricist Ande Sri, the song was adopted as the official anthem by the government in February this year.

He said Congress leaders who were collecting bribes from people from various sectors, had raised curtains for the massive scam involving the Chief Minister's Office and senior Congress leaders from Delhi.

He also had talks with the Narcotics wing on the measures to be initiated to eradicate the drug menace.
