Minister said that the State govt embarked on a mission to develop the medical and health sector in the State to provide treatment at these hospitals on par with the corporate hospitals
Rural people, who used to face hardship visiting private diagnostic centres, are now relieved as they can avail the services for free in primary and urban health centres.
Minister inaugurated diagnostic centre in Mahabubnagar district hospital and said the hospital is now equipped with the latest equipment and staff among other facilities to cater to the needs of the patients
Since the government is offering 57 free diagnostic services at these centres, it will be of great help to the poor patients coming to the government hospital.
“The government has set up 19 diagnostic centres in the State for benefit to the poor. TS government is going to spend Rs 10,000 crore in addition to the allocations made in the budget to the medical and health sector in the State,” she said
Energy Minister G Jagdish Reddy stated that latest and sophisticated medical equipment, which would be useful for early detection of cancer and heart diseases, would also be provided to Telangana Diagnostic Centres.
