Several MMTS train services in Hyderabad have been cancelled or partially cancelled on May 11 and 12 due to operational reasons. Multiple routes between Lingampalli, Falaknuma, Umdanagar and Secunderabad are affected, and passengers have been advised to check updated schedules before travel.

The Railway Ministry has approved new and extended train services between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including Charlapalli–Narasapur and Narsapur–Tirupati weekly expresses, along with the extension of the Indore Humsafar Express and increased frequency of the Kakinada Town Express.

Train services on the Kazipet–Balharshah route were disrupted after a cluster of an under-construction rail overbridge near Peddapalli was damaged. Several trains, including the Bhagyanagar Express, were halted. Repair works are underway to restore traffic.

The train will connect Secunderabad, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool City, Dhone and will be operated for two days in a week in both the directions

The Commissioner of Railway Safety was conducting an inquiry into the train accident, which continued on the second day.

The SCR requested rail users to make note of the change and plan their travel accordingly.

Hyderabad: Due to operational reasons, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced cancellation of some train services. Accordingly, Train No. 07794 Peddapalli – Kacheguda Daily and Train No. 07793 Kacheguda –Peddapalli Daily stand cancelled till July 20, a press release said.

Visakhapatnam: In view of suspected agitation at Visakhapatnam railway station and agitations in various zones, several trains are cancelled and a few diverted or rescheduled. Hyderabad: In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganesh idol immersion, the South Central Railway has announced restoration of eight MMTS train services between various destinations in the city on September 19. Schedule for these services:

Passengers can purchase their tickets through the booking counters at the stations and other mediums like UTS App (online), Automatic Ticket Vending Machines, Coin Ticket Vending Machines and others

MMTS services had suspended in March 2020 due to Covid induced lockdown and 10 services were resumed last week

Meanwhile, platform ticket prices will continue to be Rs 10 at all stations falling under the category of NSG - 6.

After the resumption of local train services in June last year, initially, only essential and emergency services staff were allowed to travel in the suburban trains.

Local trains have been off bounds for the general public since March last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Hyderabad: Train services on the Hyderabad-Tambaram route, which were suspended in view of Cyclone Nivar, were resumed on Thursday, said Southern Railways.
