Telangana High Court to continue virtual hearing of cases till Aug 8

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court has decided to continue the present practice of virtual hearing of the cases till August 8 and thereafter, to take up physical as well as virtual hearing of cases by the division and single benches on an experimental basis from August 9 to September 9.

Accordingly, the instructions were issued to all the stakeholders. During the course of physical hearing, parties-in-person should adhere to Covid-19 protocols and they shall wear face mask apart from using sanitisers and maintaining physical distancing among other norms.

Only those advocates and parties-in-person will be allowed to enter the High Court premises whose cases were listed. They must show the listing of cases either on mobile or by other mode. Only those who have been vaccinated will be permitted to enter the court premises, upon producting the vaccination certificate without any protest. Otherwise, the High Court may withdraw arrangement for physical hearing of cases. Relaxation would be given only to those whose vaccination could be done for medical reasons as per advisory of the Central and State governments.

Even during physical hearing of cases, the advocates and parties-in-person were permitted to opt for virtual hearing with advance information to the registry. All other instructions notified in standard operating procedure for physical and virtual hearing of cases before the High Court with latest schedule, should continue to be in force till further orders.

The High Court has decided to continue the present practice of virtual hearing of cases in the courts of Adilabad and Nizamabad judicial disricts till August 8. From August 9 to September 9, the courts should work as per phase-I of modified SOP dated December 16 of 2020.

It further decided to continue the present practice of hearing of cases as per phase-I of modified SOP by the courts at Hyderabad (units of City Civil Court, Metropolitan Sessions Courts, CBI Courts, City Small Causes Courts and Tribunals), Ranga Reddy (Head Quarters LB Nagar, Malkajgiri, Kukatpaly and Rajendranagar) and Warangal (Head Quarters) till September 9.

The present practice of hearing of cases as per phase-II of the modified SOP must continue till September 9 in the courts at Karimnagar, Medak, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar judicial districts and courts in the remaining parts of Ranga Reddy and Warangal.

The judicial officers were directed to take up the final hearing matters/the matters ripen for disposal, either physically or virtually and shall make every effort for disposal of the cases and to reduce the mounting arrears. They should adhere to the office timings scrupulously.
