BRS leaders, workers, and social media activists, who sought to support former minister T Harish Rao and other party leaders arrested on Thursday following a dispute between Huzurabad MLA Padi Koushik Reddy and Serilingampalli MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, were also taken into custody.

The contractor, responsible for constructing school buildings on the premises, allegedly locked the classroom doors after the government failed to clear his outstanding bills. Reports suggest that the government had sanctioned ₹55 lakh for building a new school under the Mana Ooru - Mana Badi program. However, due to a lack of funds, the construction remains incomplete.

BRS party Chintakani mandal president Pentyala Pullaiah was arrested along with party leaders G Hanumantha Rao, Sheikh Jani Mia, P Edukondalu, Pinnelli Srinivasa Rao, B Venkata Rama Rao, and several others.

The police prevented Harish Rao from seeing his doctor despite his complaints of severe pain in his left shoulder, which was injured during his arrest on Thursday. Additionally, former Minister V Sunitha Laxma Reddy and former MP Maloth Kavitha, who came to check on Harish Rao's condition, were denied entry and subsequently arrested and taken to the police station.

BRS leaders including Harish Rao were arrested and driven around in separate police buses for about three hours and kept in a police station for about two hours before being released.
