Three die after a car hits road divider in Khammam; CP advises public to avoid early morning journeys
Three persons, including a minor, died and two others were seriously injured when a speeding car rammed a road divider amid dense fog in Sathupally, Khammam. Police urged commuters to avoid early morning travel due to poor visibility and fog-related risks.

Khammam: Two youths and a minor were killed on the spot while two injured severely in a road accident at Ambedkar Colony near Kishtaram in Sathupally mandal in the district on Wednesday.
According to police, the car going from VM Banjar to Sathupally collided with the divider on the road at high speed as the person driving the vehicle lost control of it. It was suspected that poor visibility on the road might have led to the incident.
The deceased Siddesi Jay (18) and Marsakatla Shashi (11) belong to Kompally Colony of Sathupalli while Sajid (25) was a resident of Mahabubnagar in Chandrugonda mandal in Kothagudem district. The car was reduced to rubble with the impact of the collision.
The injured youths, Talari Ajay and Imran were shifted to the local government hospital by Sathupalli Inspector Srihari and the staff and informed their families. Kallur ACP Vasundhara Yadav said that an investigation was underway into the accident.
Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt in statement has appealed to commuters to avoid travelling in early hours during which dense fog would be present on the roads. It would be dangerous to drive vehicles in foggy conditions and one should avoid travel in such conditions unless it is an emergency, he said.
Referring to the Sathupalli accident he said minor negligence could lead to major accidents as the road accidents that were happening due to fog. The ability to notice oncoming motorists and pedestrians on the roads would significantly be reduced due to fog.
One should not drive vehicles too fast, check the condition of the vehicle first and completely avoid dangerous actions such as talking on the cell phone while driving, overtaking and violations of traffic rules, the CP advised.
