Hyderabad: A low intensity bomb that blew up at Darbhanga railway station in Bihar on June 17 was timed to explode between Kazipet and Ramagundam railway stations in the State, sources said.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the case, has detained Nasir Malik, one of two siblings in connection with the blast. He reportedly informed the NIA that he honed the skills of making bombs following online instructions from his trainer based in Pakistan.
However, the bomb did not explode at Kazipet and Ramagundam railway stations as chemicals were not mixed in the right proportion while filling it in a bottle. It later exploded at Darbhanga railway station with low-intensity.
The trainer was in constant touch with Malik by exchanging SMSes, sources said. The investigating agencies are collecting more information from him to know their plans. The brothers, who migrated to the city a few years ago, were into garments business.
