Two labourers killed as tractor overturns in Adilabad

Adilabad: Two daily wage earners died on the spot and another person sustained serious injuries when a tractor overturned at Kupti Ghats in Neradigonda mandal on Thursday. The condition of the injured is said to be critical.
Neradigonda Sub-inspector Bharath Suman said the deceased were Saddula Bharath, a 22-year-old native of Echoda and Allapu Ramesh (35) from Sirikonda mandal. The injured was Kuchapu Rajanna, the tractor driver.
Bharath and Ramesh died on the spot when the sand-laden tractor overturned at a dangerous curve on the ghats. The bodies were shifted to Boath government hospital while the injured was shifted to a hospital in Nirmal.
Echoda Inspector Kampa Ravinder rushed to the spot and made inquiries. Rash driving and speeding was the cause of the accident, he said, adding that the spot was identified as a black spot and steps would be taken to check such accidents as per instructions of in-charge Superintendent of Police Rajesh Chandra.
Based on a complaint lodged by the family of one of the victims, a case was registered against Rajanna. Investigations have been taken up.
