Khammam: BRS city wing party president Pagadala Nagaraju said that leaders who changed parties for selfish gains do not have the moral right to criticise the BRS party and its leaders.

Speaking to the media here on Friday he alleged that not a single significant development has taken place in Khammam city after Congress came to power. Garbage has accumulated everywhere; sanitation has collapsed completely and damaged streetlights were not replaced in the city.

All the development works being carried out in Khammam city were sanctioned during the previous BRS government, under the leadership of former Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar. The Congress government has not allocated a single rupee for the development of Khammam city.

It was ironic that Congress leaders were holding press conferences and boasting about the rapid development of Khammam. Ajay Kumar brought thousands of crores of rupees to develop Khammam city

It was shameful to force BRS corporators and leaders to join Congress as the Congress party does not have the right leaders to contest in the upcoming corporation elections, Nagaraju noted.

Finding fault with Mayor P Neeraja who said that BRS leaders were using vulgar language he said that it was Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy who was using foul language. The people would teach Congress a fitting lesson in the upcoming corporation elections, he added.

Corporators Karnati Krishna, Palla Roslina, Kollu Padma and Shaik Shakina also spoke. Former library chairman MA Qamar, senior leader Uppala Venkataramana, corporators Maqbul, Seelamsetty Rama Veerabhadram, Nagandla Koti, Srividya and others were present.
