Warangal: MGM Hospital doctors remove peanut stuck in 2-Year-old’s lung
A medical team, led by Dr. Venkataratnam, along with Dr Joshua, Dr Ramlal, and the anaesthesia team, successfully removed the peanut through bronchoscopy.

Warangal: A team of doctors at MGM Hospital saved the life of a two year old boy by successfully removing a peanut that had slipped into his lungs. The complex procedure, which involved bronchoscopy, was expertly carried out by a team of ENT specialists and anaesthetists.
According to MGM Hospital Superintendent Dr Chiluka Murali, Abdul Samad, son of Mohammad Hussain from Mallampalli village had been suffering from persistent cough and fatigue for a week. The family members admitted Abdul in MGM Hospital on October 9 for treatment and a CT scan revealed that a peanut had got lodged in the boy’s right lung, causing the symptoms.
A medical team, led by Dr. Venkataratnam, along with Dr Joshua, Dr Ramlal, and the anaesthesia team, successfully removed the peanut through bronchoscopy. The child’s family thanked the medical team for their timely intervention.
