Welfare of farmers is top priority of govt: Jogu Ramanna

Ramanna stated that the government was offering the seeds to farmers to encourage them to grow the crop by providing a subsidy of 100 percent.

Adilabad: Adilabad MLA Jogu Ramanna said that the government was giving paramount importance to the welfare of farmers. He handed over subsidised red gram seeds to farmers at Mamidiguda village in Adilabad Rural mandal on Friday. Ramanna stated that the government was offering the seeds to farmers to encourage them to grow the crop by providing a subsidy of 100 percent.

He requested the farmers to cultivate red gram along with cotton and soya bean crops. He advised them to be cautious of spurious traders of cotton and other seeds roaming in rural parts. Agriculture market committee chairman Prahlad, Agriculture Officer Ashraf and Adilabad Rural mandal parishad president Gandrath Ramesh were present.
