Hyderabad: The Ghatkesar police detained six women from Gujarat on charges of begging and creating nuisance to motorists here on Monday.

The police patrol staff, who received information on Dial 100 about these women, who were clad in T-shirts and trousers, reached the spot and shifted them to the police station, where enquiries revealed that the women, residents of Ahmedabad, were residing in a shelter home near Secunderabad railway station and had started seeking alms to return home.
