Adilabad: In-charge District Collector PS Rahul Raj requested the public to share information relating to their health with medical teams and to consume prescribed drugs. He inspected the ongoing door-to-door survey by teams of the medical and health department at Jawaharnagar in Gudihathnoor mandal centre on Friday.
Rahul Raj urged the citizens who were suffering from fever to take medicines and to practice physical distance. He wanted them to wear face masks and not to roam outdoors. He sought rural folks not to gather at a spot and to sanitise hands for curtailing the spread of the virus. He added that Covid-19 could be prevented by following precautions.
In another meeting held in Adilabad town, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Rathod Janardhan, who was chairing the event, requested the public not to panic over the rapid spread of the virus and to be mentally strong. He said that kits were being distributed to Covid-19 patients. He advised people aged above 45 to undergo vaccination against the virus.
Rahul Raj informed that Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)-Adialabd was equipped with sufficient oxygen, adequate Remdesivir injections and other drugs. He stated that 295 beds with oxygen and 105 beds of ICU were kept available. He said that the proposals were prepared for enhancing the quantum of beds to 600 soon.
District Medical and Health Officer Dr Narender said that RT-PCR tests would be started at RIMS from Friday. He said that the district was seeing a decline in positive cases of COvid-19 and deaths in the recent times.
Boath MLA Rathod Bapu Rao, Adilabad municipal chairperson Jogu Premender, Additional Collector M David, RIMS director Dr Balaram, Adilabad RDO J Rajeshwar, DRDO Kishan and many other officials were present.
