Collector K Shashanka inspecting Dharani registration process in Karimnagar on Monday.
Adilabad: Registrations of agriculture lands through the much-awaited Dharani portal kick started on a grand note across erstwhile Adilabad district on Monday. Offices of Mandal Revenue Officer or Joint Sub-Registrar and Sub-Registrar sported a festive look, decorated with colourful flowers, mango leaves and balloons to mark the commencement of the services. Authorities put up boards to guide the applicants and to avail services through the portal.
On the first day, the applicants who thronged the offices expressed satisfaction over the simplification of the process. Ethkuri Renuku, a native of Jenda Venkatapur village in Nennal mandal said that she had registered two acres, purchased from a relative, on her name in 30 minutes. She was visibly elated to complete the process in a short span of time.
“The process of registration was smooth and fast. Importantly, I didn’t have to offer bribe to officials as in the past. The officials were friendly and helpful in making the transaction. One should hail Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for introducing the portal braving all odds,” she said.
Many other applicants echoed similar views and were happy for introducing the online-based system of registrations, successions and mutations.
They booked slots for registering names in the revenue records and for transferring properties of their parents. “The whole process is quite easy and can be done by a mobile phone or visiting a Mee Seva centre,” Dontula Tirupati, a resident of Malkepalli in Kasipet mandal said.
On the other hand, officials too expressed satisfaction over the advent of the portal. They opined that they were relieved a lot for bringing the system becoming a part of the historic move of the government. They said that the portal was user-friendly and registrations were now made simple. They added that the new system reduced physical labour involved in making a transaction.
“The interface and options of the portal are excellent. We have not faced any technical glitches on the maiden day of the portal. We recorded two bookings of slots, one for succession and other for sale deed, which would be processed on November 6,” V Raj Kumar, MRO of Luxettipet stated. K Raghunath Rao, MRO of Penchikalpet mandal said that the process of registration was simplified and applicants would no longer need to roam around offices of revenue offices.
Process will complete on same day: Collector
Karimnagar: District Collector K Shashanka informed that registration, mutation and online process of lands would be completed on the same day of slot booked by the people. The Collector visited Kothapalli and Karimnagar rural Tahsildhar offices and inspected Dharani registration process on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said people can book a slot on Dharani portal as per their convenience and the process would be completed within half an hour if they approach Tahsildhar offices along with required documents.
Farmers can easily register their lands without making rounds around officials and approaching middlemen. Informing that 49 Dharani centers have been established in the district, he said 36 centers were inaugurated on the first day. People could get pahani and 1 B certificates from any of the places in the district.
