Jagtial: In yet another shocking incident, a 65-year-old farmer died at Dharmapuri Urban Health Center (UHC) on Saturday while waiting for his turn to undergo Covid-19 test. The deceased Mamidi Rajaiah is survived by two sons and two daughters. However, none in the family is suffering from Coronavirus.
A native of Thummenala of Dharmapuri mandal, Mamidi Rajaiah (65) along with his son Jalapathi came to Dharmapuri UHC to undergo Covid test as he was suffering with Corona symptoms during the last one week. While waiting in the queue line for his turn, he collapsed at around 11 am. The hospital doctors checked his condition and declared him dead.
Though Rajaiah was not tested for Coronavirus, the hospital authorities packed his body as per Covid norms and handed it over to the family members. Dharmapuri Hamali Sangham performed the final rites of Rajaiah at the latter’s agricultural fields in Thummenala.
It may be recalled that a 74 year-old person from Arepalli of Dharmapuri mandal approached the same Dharmapuri UHC to undergo the Covid-19 test on April 22. He collapsed on the hospital premises while coming out of the testing facility after undergoing the test and died on the spot. He was tested positive Covid-19 a few minutes after his death.
