Former MLA Diwakar Rao accuses Congress MLA Premsagar Rao of corruption
Diwakar Rao claimed that while citizens across the country were paying Goods and Services Tax (GST), residents of the Mancherial Assembly segment were being forced to pay "Premsagar Tax" (PST). He accused Premsagar Rao of misusing his official position and deploying his associates to extort bribes from various sections of society, including traders, employees, and realtors.

Mancherial: Former Mancherial MLA Nadipelli Diwakar Rao said that he was pained to see Manchi (decent) Mancherial becoming Vasool (collection) Mancherial. He levelled serious allegations against present MLA Premsagar Rao while addressing pressmen here on Monday.
Diwakar Rao alleged that while citizens of the country were paying Goods Service Tax, people of Mancherial Assembly segment were forced to pay Premsagar Tax (PST). He charged that Premsagar Rao was extracting bribes from different sections of the society including traders, employees and realtors using his official position and his henchmen.
The former MLA further alleged that 60 members of Umar Miya Welfare Society paid Rs 6 lakh each to the legislator, while occupants of houses sites near IDOC offered crores of money to him. Premsagar Rao collected Rs 40 lakh from traders of the town. He allegedly extracted huge amounts from realtors who developed ventures in Luxettipet and Hajipur mandals.
Diwakar Rao advised the people not to get duped by paying bribes to anyone who promises help in getting land titles of assets located in Full Tank Level of an irrigation tank. He charged that Premsagar Rao collected Rs 2 crore from the gullible public by promising to assist them in obtaining land titles for lands in FTL in a tank near Luxettipet town.
The ex-MLA accused Premsagar Rao of buying disputed assets located on bypass road, Bellampalli Chowrasta, Tilaknagar and many other locations and government lands by terrorising people with the help of a gang of goons. He also alleged that the MLA exerted pressure on officials of Prohibition and Excise department for Rs 10 lakh.
