Karimnagar: Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao informed that problems of town people have been solved by providing all basic facilities in a phased manner.
The Mayor laid foundation stone for CC roads taken up with Rs six lakh in 54th division of Mankammathota here on Wednesday. Later, he toured in the division and enquired about the problems prevailing in the locality by interacting with local people.
Examining the damaged CC roads and drainages, he instructed officials to prepare proposals to take up repair works.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Rao said it was the responsibility of the corporation to provide basic facilities to the people of the town. Developmental works have been taken up in a big way in the areas where the problems existed.
As part of it, the works of CC roads were taken up in 54th by allocating Rs 6 lakh. Roads and drainages in the division have reached dilapidated condition since they were laid a long time ago, he said and informed that he had instructed officials to prepare proposals to take up repair works.
Similar was the condition of drainages and roads in 52, 53, 54 and 56th divisions, he informed and assured to solve all the problems in the area.
Informing to modernize Kashmirgadda park, Mayor said that tenders for RS 25 lakh worth works were also invited and works would be started after completion of tendering process.
An open gym costing Rs 12 lakh, walking track, chairs, children playing zone, greenery would be developed in the park. Kashmirgadda Rythu Bazar would also be developed, the Mayor promised.
