Warangal: Learning calculations using Matlab and hands-on practice to write programming helps to develop programming skills, said Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy. The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) & Department of Physical Sciences (PS) of Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, jointly organised a one-day workshop on “Matlab for Beginners” for the first-year ECE & ECI students on the campus here on Monday.
Assistant Professor, D Venu has helped the students in understanding features of the Matlab tool, computing simple numerical calculations and developing the Matlab programmes to solve scientific and mathematical problems. He stressed the need for the development of basic research skills to design live engineering projects. HoD of ECE Dr B Rama Devi, Associate Professor of Chemistry and HoD of PS Dr D Prabhakara Chary and others were present. A total of 230 students attended the workshop.
