Kothagudem: BRS MLC K Kavitha called upon the party cadres to mobilise the public against the Congress government and question its failures.
She addressed a meeting of BRS activists and leaders at Bhadrachalam in the district on Monday. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was telling huge lies about debts and the government should tell the public where the borrowed money was spent, she said.
Lands worth Rs 40,000 crore have been pledged by the government for Rs 10,000 crore. Congress ministers were saying that farmers were given Rythu Bharosa and waived crop loan with that money. But still 60 per cent farmers have not received loan waiver and 50 per cent people have not got Rythu Bharosa. The Congress government should explain where Rs 10,000 crore had gone, the MLC demanded.
The Congress party has made a lot of promises, but 16 months after coming to power, not a single promise has been fully implemented. The government was working against the interests of Telangana, Kavitha alleged.
Former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was credited with making Telangana number one in all fields as he had worked hard tirelessly for the development of the State. The party leadership would stand by its cadres and protect them. It was the duty of BRS workers to save Telangana from the Congress party. Even as there were three ministers from Khammam district, they could not bring enough funds for the district’s development, she said.
BRS party was Sri Rama Raksha for Telangana. Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkat Rao, who won on a BRS ticket, deceived the party and joined Congress. BRS party would win if there was a by-election in Bhadrachalam, Kavitha asserted.
MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, Khammam and Kothagudem BRS district presidents, Tata Madhusudhan and Rega Kantha Rao, former minister Vanama Venkateswara Rao, former MLA B Haripriya, senior leaders Dindigala Rajender, Bommera Rammurthy and others were present.
