Over 50% CEC students fail Telangana Inter Exams 2026
More than half of CEC students failed the Intermediate Public Examinations 2026 in Telangana, with pass percentages below 50 in both years. HEC recorded the lowest performance, while MPC and BiPC streams fared significantly better, according to TG BIE data.

Hyderabad: More than 50 per cent of the CEC students have flunked the intermediate public examinations 2026, whose results were declared by the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) here on Sunday.
As per the details released by the TG BIE, 1,00,567 second-year students appeared for the CEC exams and 49,674 were declared pass, translating the pass percentage to 49.39. In fact, performance of first-year intermediate CEC students has been even worse, as 55 per cent out of 93,431 students who took the exams have failed to pass.
Among different streams, HEC students registered a lowest pass percentage of 49.25 in the second-year and 34.34 per cent in the first-year intermediate exams.
As for the MPC stream, the percentage of passes stood at 78.01 per cent in second-year and 75.51 per cent in the first-year intermediate. Similarly, second-year BiPC students recorded 76.04 per cent of passes, while first-year students registered 72.39 per cent.
A total of 15,464 second-year students who appeared for MEC exams secured 67.91 per cent result and 16,547 first-year students recorded 64.07 per cent of passes.
For those who could not pass the examination, the TG BIE released the intermediate public advanced supplementary examinations 2026 schedule, with examinations commencing on May 13. Students can pay the fee for supplementary examinations at their respective junior colleges between April 13 and 20.
