Rains paralyse normal life in Hyderabad, traffic disruption leads to traffic jams
Several parts of Hyderabad faced traffic disruptions and waterlogging on Wednesday following heavy rainfall. Commuters struggled during peak morning hours. Disaster management teams were deployed across the city to drain flooded roads, and residents were advised to stay indoors.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad woke up to moderate rains with forecasts suggesting incessant lashing through the Wednesday.
As rains continued with small pauses, several areas in the city experienced waterlogging and disruptions to traffic.
Rains caused traffic jams and disrupted normal life in several city areas including Gachibowli, Madhapur, Manikonda, Hi Tech City in the IT Corridor, Miyapur, Kukatpally, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Uppal, L B Nagar, Nagole, Secunderabad Cantonment, Begumpet, and other parts. Traffic jams caused disruptions to normal life.
Many commuters, including employees and school and college goers, faced difficulties reaching their destinations due to traffic jams on flyovers and main roads. This was mainly during peak morning hours between 7.30 am and 10.30 am, amid the rains.

According to Telangana Development Planning Society, rainfall was reported in Uppal, Saroornagar, Hayathnagar, Rajendranagar, Saroornagar,Bahadurpura, Bandlaguda, Charminar, Malkajgiri, Khairatabad, Shaikpet, Amberpet, Musheerabad, Kapra, Marredpally and Secunderabad.
The Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) has deployed DRF teams across the city and cleared waterlogging points, mainly flyovers, major roads, and along the main roads, which lead to I IT corridor, to address the situation with the flooding.
Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) deployed in the wee hours and cleared the waterlogged areas in several parts of the city.
Residents are advised to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel until the water levels recede in the main roads.
