Suryapet cops recover 19 stolen tractor trolleys, nab four accused
A total of 19 trolleys worth Rs.20.92 lakh, one tractor worth Rs.2 lakh and one bike were recovered from a house in Marepalli village of Nalgonda district.

Suryapet: The police seized 19 stolen tractor trolleys and other vehicles worth Rs.22.92 lakh from four men involved in thefts.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Superintendent of Police Sunpreet Singh said Maddirala Sub Inspector and his team were conducting vehicle checking at Maddirala crossroads on Friday when two persons on a bike and two others on a tractor were found moving suspiciously towards Kuntapalli. The police team immediately detained the four and questioned them. The four accused – Sampangi Mahesh, Sampangi Satyam, Orsu Venkanna and Alakuntla Mahesh from Nalgonda district – admitted to stealing two tractor trolleys which were kept under shades in the fields on the way from Polumalla village to Chilpakuntla village in October last year, he said, adding that the owners of the tractor trolleys had lodged a complaint with the Maddirala police, following which an investigation was undertaken.
During interrogation, the accused also admitted that they were involved in 18 tractor trolley thefts in Munagala, Penpad, Miryalaguda Rural, Nagaram, Maddirala, Gurrampodu, Nutanakal, Mote, Garidepalli, Shaligouraram, Suryapet Rural and Kethepalli police station limits, he said, adding that among the detected cases, 19 tractor trolleys, one tractor and one bike were seized.
A total of 19 trolleys worth Rs.20.92 lakh, one tractor worth Rs.2 lakh and one bike were recovered from a house in Marepalli village of Nalgonda district. The accused committed 11 thefts in Suryapet district and 7 thefts in Nalgonda district, the SP said.
Apart from these 18 cases, Mahesh, Satyam and Venkanna had criminal records in 12 cases in the past. Mahesh and Venkanna were sent to jail by the Adibatla police as well in a tractor trolley theft case.
The SP congratulated CCS Inspector Siva Kumar, Tungathurthi CI Srinu, CCS SI Srikanth, Maddirala SI Veeranna, DSP Ravi, CCS staff Venkanna and other team members involved in the investigation.
