The Chief Minister extended his greetings to Chandrababu Naidu on the occasion of assuming the office of Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Uppal MLA Bandari Laxmareddy, Medchal MLA Ch Malla Reddy, Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy and LB Nagar MLA D Sudhir Reddy were among those who met the BRS supremo.

The party-supported candidate is likely to get elected as the bank chairman. All three political parties - BRS, Congress and BJP, extended their support to three different panels contesting in the cooperative bank elections.

Congress candidate Velichala Rajender Rao got a majority of 23,128 by securing 79,001 votes in the segment. While the BJP candidate got 55,873 votes, BRS candidate B Vinod Kumar secured 41,295 votes.

Initial trends on Wednesday night indicated a neck and neck battle between Congress candidate Chintapandu Naveen alias Teenmaar Mallanna and BRS candidate A Rakesh Reddy.

However, the number of votes polled to MP candidate Venkatrami Reddy decreased to 54,000 while the BJP had increased its vote share from 20,000 to 1.03 lakh votes.

Chandrashekhar Rao had won the seat by a margin of 2,01,581 votes, whereas Sanjay Kumar's winning margin stood at 2.25 lakh votes. In 2014, BRS candidate B Vinod Kumar won the Karimnagar seat by a margin of 2,05,007 votes.

Saying that victories and defeats are common in politics, the Retired IAS officer has said that he would always stay available to the public regardless of the election outcome.

Nagesh won by 90,932 votes, which was substantially higher than what the party candidate, Soyam Bapu Rao secured in 2019 when he defeated Nagesh, who was the TRS candidate then, by 58,560 votes.

Congress candidate Sri Ganesh won the seat with a majority of 13,206 votes against his nearest rival and BJP candidate Dr TN Vamsha Tilak.

With the BRS not winning even a single parliamentary seat, Rama Rao took to X and stated that in the last 24 years since TRS (now BRS) was founded, the party and its cadre had seen it all.
